Printmaking

About this portfolio

While in graduate school in NYC, I began making prints using a painterly process called monotype. As I worked in the evenings in the print studio at Parsons, I found making monotypes to be a playful way to explore the themes and motifs I was working on. Since that time I have done printmaking intermittently. When I joined Circling the Square Fine Art Press https://www.circlingthesquarepress.com/artists in 2008 I began my “Woods”, “Elements”, and “Memory” series. My fine art prints are all one-of-a-kind original artworks created by hand and printed either manually or on an etching press.

Beginning in 2014, we launched an cross-cultural print exchange between  Circling the Square Fine Art Press and Estamperia Quitena in Quito, Ecuador. For this project which had an environmental focus I created three relief prints in limited editions. Those three prints–Tide Pool, Swimmer, and Tree of Life Mosaic– are included in this portfolio.
