Landscape collages,1989-2016
My landscape collages are a visual response to the overwhelming love I feel for the rich and varied landscape of my adopted home state of Maine. In these varied artworks capture the intangibles of place. While most of the collages reference a particular place and moment in time some are constructed solely in the studio from memory and imagination. Notably, I continue to work in collage with both painted and found papers as part of my studio practice. Collages along with painting and printmaking, afford me a multitude of expressive avenues.
